Pyth Benchmark on-demand oracles provide historically queryable prices that can be used to validate trades in near real-time, an important factor for risk management of intraday markets such as Speed Markets. **Every second, Pyth Benchmark price feeds are updated** using source data from reputable third-party data publishers that can be easily verified from the Pythnet blockchain.
In the future, Thales plans to further develop this product and to couple it with the [consecutive round format of Thales Royale](https://thalesmarket.medium.com/thales-royale-a-predictions-game-where-the-winner-s-takes-all-a268f9ec6ec8) to facilitate sequential epochs. Once this feature is deployed it will give traders the ability to **compound a winning position into the next epoch(s) automatically.**

The Thales vaults work by allowing anyone to deposit USD in a certain vault which is then utilized in cycles of **1-week trading rounds** that execute specific trading strategies.

### Main value propositions of Thales Vaults
1. **Passive trading**. There’s no need to withdraw and/or deposit for every round. If you keep your collateral inside a vault, it will automatically roll over (plus the winnings or minus the losses of the previous round) to the next round.
2. **Vaults have lower Trading Fees (from 3% to 0.5%).** Trader's benefit from [TIP-105](https://github.com/thales-markets/thales-improvement-proposals/blob/main/TIPs/TIP-105.md), which effectively gives more edge to Thales Vaults and their strategies, compared to a user manually executing the same trades.

The origins of Community Governance
Thales has applied for a **500,000 ARB** token grant from the Arbitrum Short-Term Incentives Program (STIP).
